Genioplasty reshapes the chin either by increasing or decreasing its size, harmonizing it with the other facial features.

   In cases of large chin the correction is performed by maxillo-surgical procedure, while in cases of small –hypoplastic- chin either by using special implants or by autologous fat injection. The type of anesthesia and the duration of the procedure depend on the technique to be selected. Recovery can, therefore, last from a few days to 2-3 weeks.

   In many cases genioplasty is combined with rhinoplasty, offering a spectacular improvement in the overall facial image and more attractive facial proportions.
